Course Content

Summary

This qualification has been designed for people who have not worked in, or need a refresher in hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism, and are looking to secure an entry level job.

It is designed to equip learners with relevant industry knowledge and understanding of job roles and skills, as well as the confidence and motivation to quickly adjust to their chosen role.

It includes Level 2 Food Safety, Level 2 Health and Safety and Customer Service qualifications.

What Qualifications will I gain from the course?

It comprises of 5 mandatory units

  • Unit 1 - Introduction to the Hospitality Industry

  • Unit 2 - Food Safety in Catering

  • Unit 3 - Health and Safety in the Workplace

  • Unit 4 - Principles of Customer Service in Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism

  • Unit 5 - Introduction to Personal Workplace Skills

Assessment:

  • The units are assessed using a combination of internal and external assessment. The assessment will be based upon the achievement of all of the specified Learning Outcomes.

There is a work placement element of the programme which can be tailored to the participants career aspirations and availability.
